We are pleased to announce that the Lustre 2.16.1 Release has been declared GA and is available for download . You can also grab the source from git
This is not an LTS release – this is a re-spin of 2.16.0 with a single fix (LU-18435) that we have discovered has a broader scope than first understood. We recommend that anyone planning to use 2.16.x uses this release rather than 2.16.0.
A reminder that 2.16.x includes new features:
RHEL 9.4 Server support Support for Rocky/RHEL 9.4 servers (LU-18150)
IPv6 Support Providing the option to use large NIDs (LU-10391)
Optimized Directory Traversal Improved Speed/Efficiency for large directories/trees (LU-15975)
The minimal changelog for 2.16.1 is available but fuller details about the 2.16 release can be found in the 2.16 wiki page (including the change log and test matrix)
